Progress and Welcome visitors!

Building is happening and the the cement base is layed, the door frames are up and the bricks have started to form the foundations for the new school building. 12 rooms, two toilets and 110 very happy children soon to be within! With another positive donation recently we have decided to build a brick, rather than bamboo, school that will last longer and provide further growth opportunities for us. We are very happy to have such great support from you all. Seeking the most cost effective methods, the nifty carpenters have built moulds and we are making our bricks from local stone and cement rather than importing them from other towns. This cuts costs but also provides locals with employment . Our first visitors, Paul and Sonnie have also been welcomed with open arms, a room with M.K.‘s family and many children with big smiles. Welcome to our school Sonnie and Paul.

Saturday mornings are so much brighter!

Hip hip hooray! Thank you to all those who have helped us in making our Saturday morning schooling so much brighter, so much more fun, and so much more beneficial for us all! We now have cricket bats, soccer balls, badminton rackets (and a net!), skipping ropes, games such as chinese checkers and memory games for all our fruit and vege’s, lots of crayons, lots of colour pencils, paper, some moulding clay, paint and paint brushes and all the older years have their first, new and very own geometry sets! Woooopy! Thank you so much everyone who made this happen! HAPPY DAYS for us ALL!

Construction bonanza!

Building our new school has officially started. It is only a matter of time before we can provide the poorest children in the region with a quality education that will hopefully bring many of us into brighter futures! We got the team of 7, gum boots on, muscles up and ready to get constructing! Yipppeeee! Go builders go!

Many hands help our dream!!

Brick making, wood chopping, window making fun! Breaking stones however certainly is a tough duty to undertake! Lucky we got hard local village workers, with big smiles and great attitudes helping us out! Thanks to the local Begha famillies who have donated materials towards our building too.... every little bit of help is making this dream become a reality for us all.
